After a six-year hiatus from full-time competition on U.S. soil, Reardon made his anticipated return to Monster Energy Supercross in 2017 as the oldest competitor in the 250SX Class. Reardon scored a spot under the Star Yamaha tent and made his presence felt against his much younger 250SX Class counterparts, scoring his first top 10 of the season at round 1 in Anaheim and his first top five at round 6 in Arlington. The Australian finished 7th overall as a consistent top 10 finisher.
