The annual Monster Energy Cup (MEC), held at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, will be taking on a new look that reflects the challenge of this unique competition.
The 2019 race, which will be contested on Saturday, October 19, will give riders a unique track that features elements never seen in MEC competition. Each year, track designers, led by five-time Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael, seek ways to bring the most competitive circuit for the professional riders.
This year’s track will feature variety, offering a different course for each of the three events that comprise a Monster Energy Cup. Examples include three different holeshots and events that call for competitors to change direction of the course for the following event in the sequence.
