Cooper Webb will miss Round 8 in Atlanta following a heat race crash last weekend in Minneapolis, the rookie confirmed via an Instagram post.
Webb was vying for the lead in 450SX Heat 2 when his handlebars were clipped by Dean Wilson's fender, slamming him to the ground. Yamaha remained optimistic following the crash, but it was decided that Webb would sit out Atlanta to allow the shoulder to fully heal.
"Got lucky in many ways but still bummed I'm not gonna make the race that means most to me this weekend," he said via Instagram. "Gonna miss Atlanta to let my shoulder heal but the plan is Toronto."
Webb currently sits eighth in the 450SX championship standings.
