Jason Anderson has been disqualified from Anaheim 2 after taking a swing at fellow 450SX rider Vince Friese.
It all began when Friese went too deep into a right-hander and plowed directly into Anderson’s front wheel, causing the Husqvarna rider and KTM Racing’s Marvin Musquin to go down.
Both Anderson and Musquin were able to remount, but were unable to transfer out of the heat race.
At the conclusion of the heat, the two riders began exchanging words entering the tunnel. Anderson then took a swing at Friese before being shoved to the ground by Friese’s mechanic.
It’s not the first time Friese has been involved in an altercation at Angel Stadium. Just one year ago, he collided with Weston Peick and was met with several punches.
