250 East/West Showdown
The 250 East/West Showdown is a rare and exciting opportunity to see the World’s best 250SX riders go head to head!
It a special race format in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship where the top riders from the 250SX East division and the 250SX West division compete against each other in the same Main Event.
Standard Format:
- The 250 class is split into two regional championships:
- 250SX East
- 250SX West
- Each region races separately at different rounds throughout the season.
- Riders earn points only within their region toward their own championship.
East/West Showdown Format:
- Both regions race at the same event
- Riders qualify separately (East riders vs East, West vs West)
- They line up together for:
- Combined Heat Races
- Combined LCQ (if needed)
- One combined Main Event
Points Breakdown:
- Riders still earn points only toward their own regional championship, even though they’re racing each other.
- It does not combine the standings into one championship.
