Famed Hunter and World-Class Turkey Caller Michael Waddell named Grand Marshal for the Birmingham, Alabama Supercross.

Bone Collector creator, famed hunter, outdoorsman, and TV personality Michael Waddell has been named the official Grand Marshal for Round 10 of the Monster Energy SMX World ChampionshipTM taking place this Saturday, March 21 at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama.

Waddell, one of the most skilled hunters in the industry got his start from winning a turkey calling contest and went on to build a globally recognized brand and media empire around the Bone Collector name. Originally from Booger Bottom Georgia, Waddell is a mere stones-throw away from some of the most sought out motocross training facilities in the southeast, which is fitting for an enthusiast who grew up riding dirtbikes and still maintains a small track on his property where his family rides today.

Waddell has been a life-long fan of SMX and has spent time in the woods, at a track, or at an SMX event with some of the sport’s biggest names including Jeff Stanton, Ryan Villopoto, Eli Tomac, and Ricky Carmichael, to name just a few.

Waddell will play an integral role in opening ceremonies, make an appearance on the pre-race Race Day Live show, plus deliver the customary “gentleman start your engines” heard famously at motorsports events. Waddell will also wave the green flag for the official start of the premier 450SMX Class Main Event. FanFest and Qualifying kick off at Protective Stadium at 11:00 a.m. with opening ceremonies starting at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:00 p.m. CT. Tickets can be purchased at SupercrossLIVE.
