St. Louis Supercross Main Event Recap
April 4, 2026
450 Main Event

Ken Roczen backed up his qualifying speed in a big way, leading all 23 laps to take a dominant victory in the 450 main event at The Dome at America’s Center. The Progressive Insurance Suzuki rider set the fastest lap of the race on lap three (55.337) and was never seriously challenged, crossing the line over 13 seconds clear of second place. It was a masterclass from Roczen under the lights in St. Louis.
Justin Cooper delivered a season-best ride to finish runner-up aboard the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha, 13.295 seconds back but well clear of the rest of the field. Hunter Lawrence earned a hard-fought third on the Honda HRC machine after starting from the holeshot position, finishing 19.629 seconds behind Roczen.
Jorge Prado continued his impressive adaptation to supercross with a solid fourth-place finish on the Red Bull KTM, while Cooper Webb rounded out the top five just 1.4 seconds behind Prado. Eli Tomac was sixth, nearly 38 seconds off the lead, followed by Joey Savatgy in seventh and Malcolm Stewart in eighth, a disappointing result for Stewart after qualifying third earlier in the day.
Garrett Marchbanks completed the lead-lap finishers in ninth, nearly a minute behind the leader. The biggest story beyond Roczen’s win may be Chase Sexton’s misfortune, the second place qualifier pulled out of the race after just 11 laps, finishing 22nd and 12 laps down. Dylan Ferrandis led the lapped riders home in tenth on the Ducati.
250 East/West Showdown

The 250 East/West Showdown lived up to its billing at the front, but Haiden Deegan made it look easy once again. The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider checked out early and cruised to a 15.6-second win over 18 laps, posting the fastest lap of the race (55.140) on lap four. Another dominant performance from the 1W.
Cole Davies earned a career-best second place with a strong ride from start to finish, 15.654 seconds behind his Star Racing teammate but comfortably clear of the rest. The New Zealander was awarded the holeshot and showed he belongs at the sharp end. Seth Hammaker completed the podium in third on the Pro Circuit Kawasaki, 27.9 seconds off the lead. Nate Thrasher was fourth and Ryder DiFrancesco grabbed fifth aboard the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna.
Daxton Bennick (6th), Levi Kitchen (7th), Devin Simonson (8th), Nicholas Romano (9th), and Max Vohland (10th) rounded out the top ten. Romano was a standout, qualifying 25th but racing his way up to ninth, the biggest mover of the night in the 250 class. Only 11 riders finished on the lead lap, with the field getting strung out considerably over the 18-lap distance.
Roczen and Deegan were in a league of their own tonight in St. Louis. Roczen’s wire-to-wire 450 victory paired with Deegan’s 15- second cushion in the 250 Showdown made for a dominant evening at The Dome. Cooper’s runner up in the 450s gives Star Racing Yamaha plenty to smile about, while Sexton’s early exit is one to watch heading into the next round. In the 250 class,
Davies continues to announce himself as a podium threat week in and week out.
