After weeks of speculation and anticipation, Malcolm Stewart is set to begin his 450SX career this weekend at Round 3 of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship in Anaheim, Calif.

The 2016 Eastern Regional 250SX champion was unable to ink a deal in time for the start of the season, but will look to make up for lost time aboard a Seven MX, Ride 365-backed Suzuki RM-Z450.

Malcolm picked up two wins and six top-five finishes en route to his first career Supercross title in 2016. It was a historic moment for the sport as he and older brother James became the first championship-winning siblings.

Malcolm went on to run a few standalone events during the offseason, but has largely been out of competition since the Supercross Finals back in early May. As for James, he remains on the sideline – at least for the time being – but we don’t expect that to last long. Stay tuned.
