Japanese racer Jo Shimoda (#30) led the 250SX Class Main Event early until he stalled his bike and relinquished the front spot. While running in second place he missed the top of a whoop while skimming the section. The front wheel dropped between two of the whoops and Shimoda and his Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki crashed in a forward flip off the track. Shimoda completed the tumble like a gymnast finishing a somersault and remounted without hardly coming to a stop. Shimoda eventually finished the race in seventh and now also sits in seventh place in points in the 9-round Western Regional 250SX Class.
